Haverhill Shooting: Four Arrested After Daytime Gunfire Near Downtown
HAVERHILL, Mass. — A daytime shooting in Haverhill has led to multiple arrests after gunfire erupted near Emerson Street and Welcome Street around 11:30 a.m., prompting a large police response and temporary public safety warnings.
According to Haverhill Police, officers arrived at the scene and discovered numerous shell casings and significant property damage, including bullet impacts to vehicles and nearby buildings. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities later arrested four Haverhill men in connection with the shooting: Riley Quinn (18), Timothy Mossey (18), Richard Santana (25), and Juan Figueroa (23). All suspects are facing multiple firearms-related and assault charges and are being held pending dangerousness hearings.
Court documents indicate the case involves dozens of charges, including allegations of armed assault and illegal possession of firearms. Investigators have also suggested the possibility of gang-related activity, though the exact motive remains under review.
